As a result of market research and client feedback we have developed a new telephone and email subscription service; providing a ‘light touch’ HR support service to small and medium sized business, complementing our existing: pay-as-you-go and retained HR services and is already become first choice for many new and existing clients.

There are two levels of support packages and are outlined in detail below. When it came to naming the service: we, along with feedback agreed that ‘On-Demand HR’ is an appropriate name for this new service and we hope to become your first point of contact when you need on-going assistance in all matters relating to people management in your organisation.

The HR On-Demand service will assist you in dealing with the day-to-day and more complex HR topics; you have access to: staff handbooks, policies, forms , letters, checklists, toolkits, and best practices prepared by our Chartered HR professional are right when you need them; when you’re needs require a more personalised touch

Successful management of the human resources of an organisation takes dedication and focus and we know that this is not always easy to find. With Osprey’s HR On-Demand monthly subscription, this focus becomes easy.

Osprey’s On-demand HR Subscription Program includes:

a regularly scheduled call once a month

a dedicated Chartered HR Professional who understands your business and HR needs – this is a built-in support system specifically for you

access to ongoing support, advice, coaching and HR expertise to advise you on best practices

help resolve those long-standing HR challenges faster and with more diligence

pro-active management of situations that arise unexpectedly

One of the best things about the On-Demand subscription service is that there is no limit on the range of HR topics that can be discussed. They can vary from recruitment discussions to performance improvement issues to strategizing about an employee’s departure from the organisation.

This service can be started at any time, you can be located anywhere in the UK or the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland because it is virtual support and subscriptions are for a 12-month commitment.

There are two options of subscription service so you can choose the package and cost that suits your business best. See our table below to compare these at a glance:

  • On Demand, Option 1- Classic HR Service

    you have access to our basic HR documents and can rest assured that they’re always up-to-date and compliant with the law – and telephone / email support Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. From a quick query to a complicated issue we’ll advise you on the best course of action.

  • On Demand, Option 2 - Premium HR Service

    gives you all of the above, in addition, more consultancy time, bespoke contracts of employment, employee handbook additional polices and documentation, saving you a lot of time.

With both options, complementing the subscription packages we offer our discounted Bespoke Service (see below). The bespoke service helps to advise on more complex issues, site visits and document writing should you need it. We also make sure we notify you of changes to the law, and let you know when we’ve updated documents to reflect those changes so that you can update your files. To get started, we focus on your immediate issues and prioritise from there.

What is included?

On Demand, Option 1 - Classic HR Service includes the following:

  • Two specialist support visits or conference calls per year – upon request
  • 15 minute advice call per month
  • Following-up correspondence e.g. wording for letters
  • HR Team Help with your Health and Safety
  • Start-up policies and procedures include:
  • Written Statement of Terms and Conditions of Employment
    • Offer Letter
    • Disciplinary and Grievance Policy
    • Health and Safety Policy
    • Data Protection and Security Policy (DDA 2018)
    • Communications and Use of Equipment Policy
  • New updates: including alerts which may require changes made to existing policies
  • Advice and access to employment docs and employee handbook

On-Demand - Classic HR Service

All of this for just

£10 per month for each employee – minimum charge equal to 5 employees

That's just £50 per month by direct debit

Every additional employee above 15 will be at the reduced rate of £7.50 per month

So, for example, if you employ 18 staff, the total will be just £172.50 per month

Visits to your organisation with the exception of the first meeting and HR audit, we will invoice for travelling expenses, either at the Inland Revenue per mile or public transport rate, any agreed overnight stay

On Demand, Option 2 - Premium HR Service includes the following:

All of the HR Classic Service plus the following:

  • Four specialist support visits or conference calls per year – upon request
  • Probation Policy, letters and forms
  • Absence due to Illness or Injury Policy
  • Business Ethics and Integrity Policy
  • Drugs, Alcohol and Substance Abuse Policy
  • Equal Opportunity Policy
  • Flexible Working Policy
  • Holidays and Other Absences Policy
  • Maternity. Parental Leave and Paternity Policy
  • Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy
  • Bespoke Contracts of Employment, Director’s Service Contracts and Contractor’s Agreements
  • All combined into your own company bespoke employee handbook

On-Demand - Premium HR Service

All of this for just

£17 per month for each employee – minimum 5 employees

That's just £85 per month by direct debit

Every additional employee above 15 will be £12.75 per month

So, for example, if you employ 18 staff, this will be just £297.25

Visits to your organisation with the exception of the first meeting and HR audit, we will invoice for travelling expenses, either at the Inland Revenue per mile or public transport rate, any agreed overnight stay

Most of our customers never need to pay any extra, however some choose to take insurance or occasional extra work Our HR consultants are seasoned professionals with years of practical experience. They’ll take time to understand your business and recommend the right solution for you.

Subscription Enrolment

An annual individual subscription has many benefits and these are:

  • Access to an extensive range of Checklists/How To documents guiding you through problematic and testing HR issues
  • Access to our email advice service where you’ll get speedy advice on any employment law issues in your workplace – with additional services available for more complex cases
  • Access to an extensive range of policies, procedures, specimen forms and letters and memos, and line manager briefings covering all aspects of the HR practitioner’s work
  • e-Alerts should something significant happen between issues of the e-newsletter which you need to know about there and then
  • Comment and analysis from leading practitioners and experts on the effects of new developments in the HR and employment law field
